You can borrow books, films, music
If you are a registered user at your local library you may order books and other materials through the site www.bibliotek.dk. Ordered books will be sent to your local library, and may be picked up there.
Read more about how to order materials at www.bibliotek.dk in English or in other languages. Here, you will also find ”saved searches” for www.bibliotek.dk, for instance for novels, children's books, music, and films.
Registered borrowers may also order books via the State and University Library web site, to be picked up at the State and University Library in Århus.
You can also head for your local library in order to borrow books, music, and films in your own language. Maybe your local library is borrowing books etc. from us, which you may then find in the lending department at your library. If your library is not in possession of the materials you wish to borrow, they will try to requisition it for you.
You can download/stream films, music, e-books
At bibzoom.dk/world you can download/stream films and music in different languages to your computer.
You can read articles and reviews in Arabic, Bosnian, Turkish and more, read e-books or search the online catalogs for books in your language. You can also read daily news from DR in English, Arabic, Somali, and Turkish. It’s easy, it’s free and it’s a service for everyone in Denmark who is a registered library user.
Mailing list
Add your email address to our mailing list and be notified when new books, music, and films become available in your language at the library. The mailing list is in Danish only.
Catalogues
You can download catalogues of our new materials in Arabic, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Persian, Turkish and Urdu (Urdu, Hindi, and Panjabi).
