Flemming Munch has been the director for the National Shared Services & Public Service at the State and University Library since 2005. The Danish Library Centre for Integration is among those services. One of the primary focus areas is the development of online services, including the world’s first digital library with a focus on multicultural library users.
Many existing library services would benefit from increasing the cooperation between the Nordic countries. Sharing of knowledge and contribution to common solutions leads to greater customer satisfaction and exciting new possibilities. The participating countries will benefit from cost reductions and also from greater visibility and market share.
The potential is especially great when it comes to the increasing digital services as these services are more easily shared across borders. Flemming Munch will talk about the great potential within a joint Nordic purchase agreement and share 1–2 cases on current initiatives of Nordic cooperation.
