The Diversity and migration library in the landscape - which PLACE do we have & take?

Presentation in Norwegian.

Ingeborg Gihle (born 1971) has been library coordinator for “the Diversity and Migration Library” in Oslo since 2008 (a part of the Norwegian Directorate of Integration and Diversity). She has a BA in library and information science from 1995, and other relevant experience includes working as the project manager for “The North South Library” in 1996-1998.

The Diversity and Migration Library is a specialised public library, we gather and disseminate material on Norway’s migration since 1960, and we experience parts of the migration policy field from the inside. We wish to use this insight to support public libraries all over the country, and to support the library in general as an arena for integration and learning vis-à-vis our partners.
